NOTICE is hereby given that the Council of the Borough of Blenheim proposes to borrow the sum of Two Thousand Pounds by way of Special Loan for the purpose of reerecting the Literary Institute. 1. Schedule of works proposed to be undertaken: Re-erection of Literary Institute, Alfred Street, Blenheim, in such manner that a revenue shall be derived therefrom to pay interest and sinking fund. 2. IPART of the Coronation Con- • tingent proceeding to England will be formed of men taken from the Ist, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and sth Contingents in following proportion: 4 men from Ist, 7 men each of 2nd and 3rd, and 14 men from each of 4th and sth Contingents. 2.N.Z. Government will find uni- , forms and quarters whilst men are being mobolised, and passages and a lump sum of £20 to each man, the Imperial Government providing free quarters for the men whilst in England. 3 MEASUREMENTS which must , be strictly adhered to are: Height not less than sft. 10in., chest measurement 38 inches, age over 20 and under 30. 4 NON-COMMISSIONED Officers , may apply on the understanding that if accepted they will be liable to go as troopers. Those applying must present themselves before the senior Volunteer Officer in or near the place where they reside, who in forwarding their names to the officer commanding the district will certify that they satisfy all, conditions ; measurements to be strictly taken. 5 THE height, age, chest measure- , ment, number of the contingent and the squadron of it in which each applicant served, must b8 clearly stated. 6 OFFICERS must forward all ap- , plications by wire if necessary to the officer commanding district, Nelson, to reach him not later than Noon of SATURDAY, sth inst.
