Dr. Bill led till sh furlongs from home, when The Hempie supplanted him and won by three lengths; same between second and third. Time, 3min 55secs. Dividends, £2 Us and £2 17s.

Benefactor took the lead, closely followed by Hali badier and Motor, the three carrying the rest of the field along at a merry pace. When a mile from home Kahiwas joined the leaders, but soon dropped back. Halberdier then went to the fronfr and was never headed, though Motor put in a big claim, but 1 was not; able to get out and was beaten by a leagth, Benefactor half a length 1 away.
