AUCKLAND BUSH FIRES. [OBIZID fBBBfI 4BBOOIATIOH.] Auckland, January 6. H.M.B. Tauranga left for the East Coast and Wellington. Heavy bush fires occurred at Waitekauri. Waihi, and Whangapoa. In the two former districts there is much loss of timber and property. The fire at the Puhipuhi State Forest is not so sevious as was at first anticipated. Efforts were made to isolate it. Wellington, January 5. The last shipment of Virginian quail have all died of dysentry since their liberation.
