The trial has concluded before the Frenoh Senate, constituted a High Court of Justice, of 2S members of the Patriotio League and other Royalist Leagues, who were charged with attempting to overthrow the Fienoh Republic during the dinorders of Paris m February last. Deroulede (President of the League of Patriots), Briffet (Agent of the Duo D'Orleans), Delar Saluoea (another well-known Royalist), were eaoh sentenced to ten years banish* ment. Guerin, of Fort Oharbroi seige fame, was sentenced to ten years; but those who were m the fortress with him all benefited under the plea of mitigating circumstances. The remainder of the aocused were acquitted.
