Wellington, January 4. The Premier received a cable fro

the Premier of New South Wales stating that their Agent-General had wired that the Australians m London are desirous of providing funds for equipping a contingent of bushmen from Australia for service m South Africa, and asking that the various Colonial Governments should be consulted as to whether they would sanction such a course. Bte also stated that the Imperial Government would accept such a tor oh.

Mr Seddon is communicating with the New Zealand A geut- General on the matter.
