D. Nosworthy, claim for £102 10s on a dishonored promissory note given by defendant as a member of tbe firm of Green and Nosworthy. Mr Rogers appeared for plaintiff fot whom judgment was given by default for the amount claimed and interest due, totalling £14J. 145, court costs £2 13s, solicitor's fee £4 lls, Application was made by W. E. Olouston for an attachment order against P. O'Dwyer, the Commissioner for Crown Lands being joined as sub-debtor. Mr Williams, road engineer, said there was now nothing due, O'Dwyer having been paid up to the end of December. No order could, therefore, be made.

Commercial Exchange Company.— Mr L. Johnßton, the representative of the New Zealand Gommeroial Exohange Company and Manufacturers Agent, is at present on a short vibit to Blenheim, and may be seen at " Panama House." Mr Johnstone, who has reoently been m Nelaoo, where a branoh of the Exchange is being formed, intends to divide <he time equally between Blenheim and Nelson if a fair amount of bnßin ness oan be done. Up to the present there are juat twelve trades represented m Nelson, 'while the fall list of members and shareholders numbers over four hundred. Mr Johnßton also represents Max Ereisßi'g, tba loe Cheat Manufacturer, and should find a ready sale at this time of the year. Arrangements are now made for getting ioe from Pioton iv bulk, and dividing it on arrival here. Catalogues 'may be had on application.
