— — ♦■ Wellington, January 3, Mr T. H Bosworth has composed asng "Britons Brave and True," of which he has presented 200 copies to the contingent. Presents <~f provisions have come m from various quarters, and A. Alexander, of Waihi (Hawera), has sent 2000 saoks of wheat. The following have each presented a horse;— Mis SecMon, Messrs Sill Auckland ; Dr J. Philip, Wellington ; Riddiford ; Borough and County Council of Waih^mo ; J. F Dalrymple and Dr Alien, Mosgiel; Tolmie and Pelford, Clinton; W. and F. Duncan and J. Hi*lop, Hawera; MoHardie Bros., Blackhead (2). Mr T. R. Waring, Temuks, sent a horse, but it was too large.
