We have deoided to OPEN A PEOPLE'S BUBSORIPTION LlbT, bo that all can, m a praotioal way, show tbeir Bympatby with the movement that culminated m the despatoh of a New Zea land CoDtingent to South Africa and do something towards providing that the fortunes of war shall not entail distress on those dependent on the men who have volunteered for service. The fund will also be available for assisting those of our kith SDd kin who are m distreßS throngh being foroed to abandon their homes m the Transvaal, Cape Colony, or Natal, , Subscriptions must not ezoeod Ten Shillings nor be lees than ONE SHILLING.
