There was splendid weather for the | holiday, aod large crowds went to l Foxton — where the Friendly Societies held a picnio— and to the Tennia | Tournament, where some fine play was witnessed m the serai-final round for the 'Men's Champion Singles between Fisher and Peacook. The Bowling Tournament, m which the Pulme/ston, Dannevirk6, and Feilding clubs took part, was atyo well attanded. Palmerston beat E»fl,nnevirke by 128 points to 77, and j tied with feilding. I /
