A CORRECTION.

To the Editor of the Marlborough Express. Sir, —In your report of the Nomination at Upper Wairau, I find the following:— “ In reply to another question as to whether he would support Mr Eyes for the Superintendency, he said he would not oppose him.” My answer was • “That is a question upon which 1 decline to pledge myself.” I then went on to say that when the Picton Press first said that there was a rivalry between Mr. Eyes and me for the office, I told Mr. Eyes that it was not my intendon to offer myself as a candidate, or to use any influence I might have to oppose him.” I am &c. C. Godxter.
