First Wool Ship of the Season. mHE Splendid Clipper Baique, “BALLARAT,” Tons, Captain Allen, will arrive in Port Underwood, under charter to the Undersigned, about the 15th November next. The “ Ballarat ’’ is nearly new, and especially adapted for carrying WOOL. She will take 2,500 bales, and will be despatched early in January, to arrive in time for the May Sales. The sire of this animal is the celebrated pure Clydesdale Horse, “ Stirlingshire Jock,” imported from Scotland by W. Scott, Esq., of Sydney, N.S.W. “Young Stirlingshire Jock” is now rising five years old, stood the season in Nelson in 1867 for the first time, and proved himself a sure foal getter; he has an excellent temper, quite free from vice, and is a good worker.
