(From our Own Correspondent.) Te Kooti still alive and at large ! The Hunt for Titokowaru unsuccessful. The Governor’s tour in Wairarapa. Wellington, Friday, 8 p.m. An Inquiry into the Wreck of the St. Vincent is to be held early next week. A subscription has been opened for the benefit of the widows and orphans of those lost in the Wreck. The Governor returned from Wairarapa races to-day The early part of his visit was marred by rain, the remainder was enjoyed by both Governor and people. - Napier telegrams report on the authority of the Thames Adzertiser that Te Kooti has turned up in that district. He declares that his God has given the country into his hands. He is erecting a Pa, and is expecting reinforcements, having in the meantime seized the Friendly’s horses for his cavalry. Major Mair, (who is stationed somewhere in !*he Bay of Plenty,) advises the families of settlers to come into camp. The Government has received no intelligence yet. The whereabouts of Titokowaru are still undiscovered. It is supposed that he has crossed ■ the Waitotara. Whitmore is beating the bush hoping to find him.
