HAYING been informed by various persons that the Debts owing for the works lately carried on at Murphy’s Creek are operating prejudicially, and preventing many people from signing the Petition to bring the Rivers Act into operation : And wishing to remove every obstacle to the introduction of s'o useful a measure, I hereby request all PERSONS, who are interested, to ATTEND a MEETING to be held on Wednesday evening next, at the Institute, at 8 p.m., to consider the propriety of immediately paying the Promissory Notes, and also the Debt due to the Working Committee for the above named work.
