NOTICE is hereby given, that an application has been made to Ms Excellency the Governor of the Colony of Now Zealand by John Alves, of Dunedin, in the Province of Otago, in the said Colony, contractor, for the grant to him the said John Alves of Letters Patent under the seal of the said Colony, for the exclusive use, enjoyment, and advantage, within the said Colony, of a new invention or improvement for washing wool thoroughly clean whilst growing on the backs of sheep, by a different and more effectual process than any other process at present in use, or proposed to be introduced : And NOTICE is hereby further given, that any person who may wish to prefer any objection to the granting of such Letters Patent, is hereby required, within’four calendar months from the publication of this notice, to send to the office of John Boyle Bennett, Esquire, Registrar-General, at Wellington, in the province of Wellington, in the said Colony of New Zealand, (being the person appointed for that purpose under the provisions of the “Patents Act, I 860,”) a statement in writing setting forth the grounds of such objection, and subscribed with the proper name and address of the person so objecting.
