The Claud Hamilton arrived at the Bluff on the 27th April. O’Farrell was hanged at Sydney on the 21st. His manner was subdued and becoming at the last awful moment. He evinced no wish to address the people assembled, but he sent a letter-to Mr. Barkes, to be opened after his death. Melbourne news to the 21st inst.
Constitutionalists refuse to form a Ministry, The Governor will not grant a dissolution. M'Culloch has been sent for.

The Duke of Buckingham’s despatches ir answer to the petition of the Council, are published. His Grace urges conciliation, if not con cession.
An enthusiastic meeting in support of Mr. SI ‘Culloch was held at St. George’s Hall on the 20th inst.,- at which Mr. George Rolfe presided. Strong resolutions were passed. A procession and other demonstrations Had been held in support of the eight hours system. At Sydney £13,000 had been collected for the Alfred Memorial.
Great distress and poverty existed at Gympie Creek Diggings, which was greatly over-populated.
