DEPARTURES. February 21—Per Lyttelton for Nelson: — Duty paid and free : 1 keg butter, Haynes ; 1 case apples, Geo. Aiken ; 1 trunk, Nutman; 270 sheep, M ‘Lauchlan; 20 bags barley, Dodson. The Alarm left Wellington for Blenheim on Monday last. The Leichardt arrived at Wellington from London on Tuesday last with a general cargo. She was anxiously looked for, for the purpose of loading with wool. The Electra was to have taken her departure from Wellington on Tuesday last, with a cargo consisting of 3,068 bales of wool, 12 bales skins, and 18 packages of sundries, valued at £50,899 2s sd, and the following passengers : —Saloon : Mrs Barton, Messrs John Barton, Win. Barton, Alex. Roy, H, Bentley, Garforth, and Digby. Second class: Mr. R. Edwards, Mr. and Mrs., Martin, Mrs. Manby, Mrs. Roberts. The Government steamer St. Kilda, Captain Fox, sailed for Kaikoura about 4 p.m. on the 10th, She was to call at Pencarrow Head on her way out, to land oil for the use pf the lighthouse there; she would then proceed to Amuri Bluft, and land telegraph wire, and finally pick up Lieutenant Woods and the marine surveying party, and bring them back to Wellington. She may be expected to return in ten days or a fortnight.—lndependent
