MARLBOROUGH CONTRACTS.

To the Editor of the Marlborough Express. Sir, —If the learned, experienced, and talented gentleman rejoicing in the beautiful soubriquet of “ Dixit ” is desirous of a personal discussion upon the subjects to which his letter refers, I shall be ready and willing to enter the lists with him upon the very reasonable condition that he attaches his own name to his lucubrations, as I shall do to mine. If he does not, his assertions are like his historical narratives, or rather insinuations, unworthy of notice, and I shall consider that, his motives are far from disinterested. —I am, &c,, A Contractor. f ; Blenheim, Jan. 16, 1868.
