IN accordance with the provisions of the “Education Act,” Session XT., No. 4, Clause XVII., I hereby notify that I have appointed Saturday, the twentyfifth day of January, ISOS, at noon, as the day on whieh meetings shall be held for the election of Local Committees for the purposes of the said Act, and such meetings shall be held in the School Houses of the following districts respectively :—Picton, Blenheim, Ren wick, Wairau Valley, Havelock, Mahakipawa. Spring Creek, and Kaikoura. Should a poll be demanded, it shall take place between the hours of one and four p.m. on the same day ; and the mode of voting shall in all respects be conducted in the same manner as is provided for the election of members of the Provincial Council. Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Marlborough, at Blenheim, this ninth day of January, One thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight. W. H. Eyes, Superintendent.
