Mr Davidson .did a good stroke in the booth, and considei'ing the slippery state ; of the ground cases of locomotor ataxi , were conspicuous by their almost total absence. 'With- the exception of the dispute over the hack race, everything passed off in a manner that reflects great credit on the stewards. Mr W. Fraser as juclge, J. Mr Hardman, and Mr W. Trefcheway as clerk of the course were all there in their respective places, and • contributed considerably to the success £>£ the meeting.
