EniTOK Witness,— Tour Waifcaka correspondent re Gore show says, on passant, that Mr Waddell was rery much dissatisfied with the judges for awarding onJy Becond prize to some of his horses ; moreover, he was confident ot winning first honors in any ! ring. Let me, as one of the judges at Gore show, ask Mr Waddell to bring his stock northwards next ytar, and I am sure h« will find his conivience mightily shakeu. He says the stock look. Jiist at Wyudham. and his yeld mare beat the first prize mare at Irore hands <iown. That more of ihe turf than the show ring. In the yearling filly class at Wyndham there was no competition. No doubt Messrs Cupples and Uhwh are good men and true, and judged the animals accoiding to their lights. My own judgment may be good, bad, or indifferent, as the ca.se may be, but as J d.id. n,ut know a hoof or a hair op, the ground, the | decision could qoX b<> 4ue tq malice prepense, MyftUawjuafr*, Mr Yaung, Q f Mosgiel, I have seen act four timea or mare at Oamaru. He is ean&idered northwards an intelligent, painstaking, and eareful judge— a man whose integrity uone may impeach.— l am, &c., Kobert Mitchell. Oamaru, Dec. 15; 1881. I
