I have been told that more than one member of the committee handed his books in last year willi only one ticket sold (and that to himself) an>l in one cape a priz<i was got to the araounc of the ticket. 1 would ask the management why such people are chosen, as they are no good either us commit teemua or selltr.s of member's tickets, and the sooner their names are struck eff the Jist the better for the Society. There is no doubt if the right sort of people would only take up the management of this Society it would be second to none in Southland. — I am, etc., PROGEESS.
