WEDNESDAY'S BURNSIDE MARKETS.
Fat Cattle.— Sixty-three bead yarded— an 'unexpectedly small supply, two large drafts having been kept back by the recent stormy weather. The quality was from good to • prime, and as the number was much short of ;. trade requirements, an advance on last last week'B rates was obtained of fully 5s per : ICOlb. Best bullocks brought HO 5s to Ll2 17s Gd ; others, L 7 2s 6d to L 9 15s ; cows, L 7 to L 8 12s 6d. '" Fat Sleep. — Also in short supply, 1325 only -being penned. Of these 605 were merinos, and the balance crossbreds. The quality on the whole was only medium, and as'the trade held stocks from list week's oversupply, although a slight advance was obtained at the opening of the sales towards the close prices were again in favor of buyers. Best crossbreds in the wool brought 17s to ■ 18s 6d; do shorn, Us to 15s 3d; merinos in . . the wool, 115.3d to 16s 6d.
