A GRUMBLE.
«* . — TO THE EDITOR. Sir,— Why do the Blue' Ribbon people keep . the little children to such a late hour on these cold dark nights 1 Those persons who niust; have the delight of airing themselves before them might surely begin earlier. If they have no comfortable homes of their own nor any delight in children's prattle, they ought not . to interfere with those who have. These late hours bring colds, and are not only injurious ' to habits of family regularity, but they < initiate the bad practice followed in after life . of staying out as long as any other house or place is open. The hours are nearly as bad as those of the Masons, |\vho are grown up ' men, while these are mere infants who don't know the taste of the dWuk thay hear so much about, and as to which their curiosity is continuously aroused. I won't allow any of my family there again till they alter their hours. — 1 am, etc., A Weaby Mother. Gore, 11th Nov., 1884.
