Government Notices. PUBLIC TRUST OFFICE 0? NEW ZEALAND. ANY Person may appoint the Pullic Trustee executor and trustee under his will or codicil. Any present trustee may transfer the management of trust pioperty to the Public Trustee, who will thereupon hold such property upon the original trusts attaching thereto. Any person, company, as sociation or public body within or without the colony, may place any property belonging to them in charge of the Public Trustee upon trust for such uses as may be defined in the deed creating the trust. Any building, land, or friendly society may by its rules provide that property belonging to it may be placed in the Public Trust Office for such trusts and us«?s and with such powers as may be defined in or by the said rules. The advantages offered are : — Ist. Statb Guarantee against speculation, fraud, or dishonesty. 2n All proposed investments are considered by a Board, consisting of the Honorable Colonial Treasurer, the Attorney-Genera the Comptroller and Auditor- General, the Government Insurance CummissionGr, and the Public Trustee. Careful consideration of all securities offered is therefore ensured. 3rd. The Public Trustee in his corpjrate capacity never dies, never leave* the COUNTRY, AND NEVER BECOMES INCAPACITATED, thus avoiding the many inconveniences resulting from frequent fresh appointments of Trustees, necessitated by death, change of abode, or mental or bodily infirmity. 4th, Punctuality and promptitude in the remittance of periodical payments to beneficiaries under trust or will to any part of the colony or elsewhere at which it may be de« sired that pays^nts should be made. sth. r Jhe effective check which is called into operation before any moneys can be drawn from the Public Trustee's account. 6th. Reasonable charges — On estates such are now being considered the Public Trustee is authorised to charge 1£ per cent. on all receipts, and 1£ per cent, on disbursements, and 6s. per cent, on all monej's invested. No charge is made for obtaining probate, nor for passing stamp and property ax returns, nor for correspondencp however voluminous. Thus the saving to estates placed in this office is considerable. R.
