Passing the stand for the first time, Hilltop and Signor were in the front, attended by Anchorite, Bargo, Plausible, Commotion, and Bristol, with Claptrap last. When they had rounded the turn by Saltwater River, Signor gave way to /Lord Wilton, and Battalions at the same time made an effort. Little change occurred until passing the scraping sheds, where Blink Bonny made an effort, Hilltop, Hastings, and Bargo following, and the others well up.
