THE MANDEVILLE STACK FIRS.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, — I see by Friday's issue of your paper thatMcAuicy's stacks were insured in the Equitable Insurance Company for L 260, and the claim has been promply and satisfactorily settled. I bey: to contradict the above, as it would be misleading to the public. The money I really received for my three stacks was LI 13, and that after a great deal of shuffling ; that would leave me the loser of L 137. —1 am, etc., David McAuley, Mandcville, Oct. 24, 1884.
