RACING AT TAPANUI.

SPRING MEETING. The above favorite meet was held on theTapanui course on Friday under pleasant circumstances and surroundingg. The weather was all that could be desired, the ground was in good order, and the sport was excellent. The Tapanui races have always been noted iov good sport, being managed by keen lovers of the pastime. For the public delectation seven entries were shown on the card. In addition there was a private match after the races— a scratch affair for a small sum and the Otago hounds weie 1o throw off on the course during the' afternoon.
