MR " INJUNCTION " BEATTIE.
TO THE BJDITOK, • Sir,— ln your last issue I noticed a letter ip. which Mr James Beattie, or rather for
distinction Mr Commissioner Beattie, was designated Mr Injunction, and in which the writer intimated his or her desire to hear that individual's views upon Gore Townßoard politics. I feel rather surprised, but why should I feel surprised sit anything that may emanate from or be neglected by such a person ? I should, however, have j been much better pleased had Mr Coirii missionsr Beattie called a public meeting, and dilated upon the acts of omission and I Commission by the- old, member*, of the | Board, and which he promised to unearth if he became elected ; he has had his innings and apparently he is now afraid to face a ! Gore audience, but prefers ways that are " dark and tricks that are mean " to again Jvin the title of commissioner.— l am, etc., Another Eatbpater.
