AUCTIONEERS' REPORT.
..... . Carswell, White and Co. report haviDg ' ' held a sale of fat stock at Wyndham yards, on the 29th uit., when there was a full attendance of butchers. The rough weather had a bad effect on the look of the stock, but they all changed hands at the following satisfactory prices, viz :—Nine fat cows at L 6 15s a head ; 13 bullocks medium weighty :. v- L 7 each; 100 crossbred wethers, 14s 9d each. 'We also report liaving held a sale of fat sheep at Jackson's One Tree Point Yards on the 30th uit., when crossbred ewes and wethers realised lis each. We would draw attention to our sale of fat stock at the Edendale Yards on Tussday, Sth instant. Green and Souness report having held their usual sales of horses, etc., at the Bazaar, on Saturday, 26th July, and August 2nd. Competition was not so brisk as usual, owing ho doubt to the very severe weather ex- ;.. perienced lately, which has stopped farming ', .operations for a time. Draught hoises sold at from LU to L 26 10s; hacks, L_ to L 10; double-furrow ploughs, L 5 10a to L 9 ; drays, ___ 10s to Lll ; 200 merino ewes 77' sold at 7b* per head. Privately they have sold 20 head fat cattle at L 8 per head ;90 fat wethers, at IBs 3d ; 100 crossbred lambs, atßs. I
