— . «* TO THE EDITOR. Q IR, — Will you kindly allow me space to correct a paragraph which appeared in your report of yesterday's issue ••<? Mr Cowan's political meeting at Gore. My motion was, viz 1 , " That a vote of thank<? be recorded to Mr Cowan for hia very able address; and that this meeting has every confidence in him as reprefentative for the Hokonui District," which was seconded by Mr I. S. ' Sim son and also by Mr Hume and carried ! almost unanimously. In the interests of justice and fair play to the candidate, I trust you will give the above insertion. — I am, etc., C. W. Bowteli,.
