July, as follows :— j Fat Stock : Cattle aro not much in request, but prices are a shade easier this week. We quote prime beef at 22s 6d ; medium at 17s (id to 20s per lOOlbs ; mutton at 2Jd per lb. j Store fctock : All classes of sheep are in good dSSfan'd^and all lots coming forward j meet with ready sale at very good rates. We j sold 398 wethers at from 10s to 12s ; 315 ewes at 7s 6d each. Cattle are not much inquii'edxiQrj ,yery .few .coming forward. We Bold 7 8 3h«Sa&* in lorwai'd' condition at very satisfactory prices. Sheep and EabLi skins : We have sold a few bundles crossbred sheep skins at Is 6d to 2s 3d each ; several _ bundles pelts at 5d ; a i'ew bags of rabbitskins (kittens) at' 6d to Is per lb. Grain :., Our : . grain market has been at a standstill! duribg the week. Farmers rather than let eefeals go at the rates ruling, either hold them or send them iirto store. No demand for wheat orb.arlr.y. Mr 1.-'S.,"Simson reports having held a clearing; sal& at ,Mp F. , Davy's farm, Chatton, on Friday, 4th July: About 200 people attended, and bidding was brisk. The following are the prices realised ;—C rossbred ewes, from Us Id 'to' l2s Id ; nierinb wethers, 3s 3d ; Leicester rams, 20s each; draught horses (18), from Lls t0,L2.4: 5s ; milch cows, L 7 4s ; store cattle, from' 26s to L 4 5s ; pigs (4), L 2 Os ; reaper and binder,. L27 ; dray, Ll7 lOs ; waggon, L 33 ;_ plough, Ll2 ; harrows, from L 5 2s 6d to L 5 8s ; cha'^ cutter, 2-knived,L4 i 15s; oatp, seconds, 4s per bag ; also harness; and other effects at satisfactory prices.
