ANY Person may appoint the Public Trustee e.xeevuor and trustee under his will or. codicil. , Any present trustee may transfer the management of trust property to the Public Trustee, who will thereupon hold such property upon the original trusts attaching thereto. ■ Any person, company, as sociation or public body within or without the colony, may place any property belonging to them in charge of the Public Trustee upon trust for such uses as may be defined in the deed creating the trust. Any building, land, or friendly society may by its rules provide, that property belonging to it may be placed in the Public Trust Office . for such trusts and uses and with such powers as may be defined in or by the said rules. The advantages offered are : — Ist. State Guarantee against speculation, fraud, or dishonesty. 2nd. All proposed iuvestments are considered by a Board, consisting of ,the Honorable Colonial Treasurer, the Attorney-Genera the Comptroller and Auditor-General, the Government Insurance Commissioner, and the Public Trustee. Careful consideration of all securities offered is therefore ensured. 3rd. The Public Trustee in his corpjrate capacity never dies, never leaves the COUNTRY, AND NEVER BECOMES INCAPACITATED, thus avoiding the many inconveniences resulting from frequent fresh appointments of Trustees, necessitated by death, change of abode, or mental or bodily infirmity. Punctuality and promptitude in the remittance of periodical payments to bene- , ficiaries under trust or will to any part of the colony or elsewhere at which it may be de sired that payrt^nts should be made. sth. Reasonable charges — On estates such are now being considered the Public L Trustee is authorised to charge 1£ per cent. on all receipts, and 1^ per cent, on disbursc- [ ments, and ss. per cent, on all moneys mii vested. No charge is made for obtaining : probate, nor for passing stamp and property ', ax returns, nor for correspondence however voluminous.
