FLATTING. Settlers contemplating planting should procure Trees or Bushes from a nursery situated in an exposed place, ta trees raised in sheltered land never succeed so well when removed to more unfavorable localities. BLIGHT PROOF VARIETIES. I have a few varieties of Apple trees that ar« blight proof, root and branch, and large assortment on the blight-proof stock guaranteed blight-proof below the graft. I would call the ipecial attention of intending planters to my stock of Frfcit an«l Forest Tre«s, and Ornamental Treaa and Shrubs, which is remarkably large, varied, and healthy, this B«ason. To meet the increasing demand I have 3«cnred eight acres of land at JTorihenA, within three minutes walk of Dec street, which is admirably adapted for n«rsery ptrposes. A considerable portion h*t already been planted, and, although •ecupyinf ft very exposed position, the young tree* ar« strong and vigorous, and in excellent coft- » dition for planting out. THB SOIL In that quarter of the nursery where fruit trees and other deciduous plants are mostly grown, is a light sandy loam, and remarkable for causing the young stock to make fibrous roots— »ne of the best guarantees for the success of a young tree when transplanted. C«RRESreNDENCB. To prevent delay and disappointment, customers ar« respectfully requested to have their names and addresses plainly written, the route by which goods are to be forwarded and postal address to bs distinctly Bt»tcd, and orders to be made out in regular columns, one article only «n a line.
