GRAIN SHOW.

Cooper (Invercargill)', and j M'Kay (Wyndham). The third annual grain show under, the auspices of the Mataura! P. and A. Society was held at Leahy's jHall, Wyndham, yesterday, when a good many agriculturists and others attended, to view the products of the district. These were not equal in quantity to those exhibited last year, this being partly attributable to the fact that the late threshing precluded more than a limited show in grain, the whole of which, however,' Was of excellent quality. The winning samples came from the farm of Mr F. 0. King, of ITortrose. Potatoes and turnip exhibits were also particularly fine. During the afternoon a number of exhibits Were sold, the money obtained from that source being handed over to tho Society. Mr Scott (of Scott, Prentico and Co.) acted as auctioncer,,and ■ucceeded in obtaining remarkably good prices for the lots offered. We arein Idebted to the Secretary, Mr; Raymond, for the following prize, list :— WHEAT. Bed wheat, of any variety —lst pri«o, LI ; 2nd, 10s ; 3rd, hon. oer.- Two entries.'F. C.'
