Potatoes, — There is as yet no denia.Mi in large quantities, but single truckloads are easily disposed of. at last week's quotations — viz. L 3 10s per ton (bags weighed in), at which price 1 have made sales eince last report. Butter. — Since last report prices have slightjy improved, and I quote prime salt, in kegs, at 9Jd per lb. Cljeese. — xhe market is pretty fully Bupplied. Prices nominally 4Jd to 4Jd per lb. Hp-ms and Bacon. — Smoked, 9d to 9£d per lb ; green, 7d to 7|d. Chaff. — There is a ready sale for all lots arriving if of good quality and well cut ; price L 3 108 per ton (bags returnable), at which figure I have placed all consignments for the week. Grass Seed. — There is some enquiry for ryegrass for shipment, but the price for machine-dressed would not exceed 4s to 4s Id. There is an active demand for cocksfoot, and I have placed several lines at from 4Jd to 4Jd per lb (bags extra). Rabbi skins. — The demand is active, and all well-furred and properly-cleaned and sorted lots are saleable at from Is 2d to Is 3d per lb. Hides. — Heavy weights. 4d to 4^d per lb ; light and inferior, 3d to 3sd. Tallow, Sis to 31a 6d ; rough fat, 22s 6d to 25s per cwt.
