AUCTIONEERS' REPORTS.
Green and Souness report having hold a sale of sheep at their yards on Wednesday, 2nd April. .There was a large attendance oi: buyers, and" prices showed a considerable advance on former sales. The following are the prices : — 1000 full-mouthed meriuo ewe?, 6s yd each ; 770 full mouthed merino wethers, Os 6d each ; 700 full-mouthed crossbred ewe.-', 9s 8d each ; 355 fat crossbred ewes, fullmouthed, lls 9d each ; 300 crossbred lambs, 8s (id each ; 117 merino lambs, os Gel. The ram sale was well attended on Saturday, sth, and prices showed an advance on those obtained last year, more especially for Leicesters, for which there was a great demand and all offered sold well, fri evrno ramsbvoughtfrom2lsto 40s each; Lincoln rams, 9s to 60s; Leicesters, 28s to 100s each. At the same.sale Leicester ewes brought 15s to 17s each ; crossbred ewes and wethers, 7s 9d to 8s 6d; Leicester lambs, 17s to 28s each. After the sheep sale on Saturday they submitted a contractor's plant,'bnt. very few of the horses were sold, the vendor's reserves being too high., The waggon sold for L 25 ; horses from Ll2 10s to L2B. A number of unreserved lots were sold at fair prices. They wish to draw attention to their Bale of merino and crossbred ewes on Wednesday next.
