(From our own Correspondent.) The harvest in this district has now become gqper^l }n cqngemjencie of. the •favorable' weather 1 of last vfeek, and on fhe wfrole th.c crops are promising welt. The Town Board is busy with improvements in the township, and " the building trade is brisk. The paper mill is now at work under the new management with a greatly increased staff and with » prprvute o| greater success 'than heretofore' ' • " =•■ ■ jTJie inaugural ineeting of. the Mataura Musical Association was held on Wednesday las.t. The. officer^ were ' elected t and a.' gaadly niVmiipy. of members enrolled". ■ - On Friday an invitation ball was held at Mr Shanks' rooms. An excellent hill property, formerly occupied by. Mr J. S.
