An v adjourned ordjnar^. Wcinthly meeting of the Bjiapdale Road Board was held at Chatton on Monday evening last. The following members were presents- • ' Messrs M'Queen, M^gtiJTa; F. Milne, J. Report from the inspector, Recommending the expenditure ot L2O 15a on road near Mrs Harvey's. The inspector at the same time intimated acceptance of tender for contract No. 65, amount 'I*ls, by G. M. Cregan ; and tender for contsact No. 66, amount L247s 6d, by J. Smith. Inspector be instructed to prepare plans and specification and call for tenders for the works recommended on Mrs Harvey's roadjand that the members for the subdivision be authorised to accept tenders for same. It was resolved on the motion of Mr F. Milne, seconded by Mr J. Milne, that the chairman be instructed to wait on the Gordon Town Board re the amount due to this Board by that body, and that he be empowered to institute legal proceedings in the event of his failing to settle the matter in a satisfactory man,rier, i It was resolved on the motion of Mr M'Kenna, seconded by Mr Barclay, that the inspector be authorised to effect repairs, to .the roads, if necessary, at a cost.pf not more than LlO in each subdivision. . •• <'■• After an- informal discussion on the bag'question, the meeting adjourned for two months.
