A DISCLAIMER.

. «. , TO THE EDITOTC. Sib, — In last Friday's issue of your paper, in your report of the «ase Canning v. Simson at Mataura on the previous Wednesday, it was stated that I left Simson's service by my own accord. That as a mistake. No doubt Mr Simson wanted to confer an honor upon me when he stated that I had at one time had the muoh-to-be-coveted post of clerk to himself. Much as the fact of having been in the service of a gentleman of Mr Simson's business integrity and moral status would I feel tend to my advancement, I beg to emphatically deny ever having had the honor of being •' Simson's flunkey.*' — I am, etc., Arthur B. Tuson. Gore, March 3, 1884.
