has exported in any other year. South jj Austra ian advices gives estimates of tho wheat yield in that colony up to 11 bushels , tto the acre which will give something * of 400,000 tons available for export. I The first of the new crop wheat was delivered j * in Melbourne at the opening of the month, | ( and was sold at 4s 3d, at which price the , small parcels coming forward have also been ] placed. Upon the whole, the outlook is "* highly satisfactory so far as the yield and 1 quality of our wheat is concerned ; but, as ] we have previously said, the fine weather is now required for harvesting the crops. The most recent advices from the United King- : dom do not warrant the expectation of high , prices ruling this seasun in the London market, but the large increase in the average ' yield will compensate farmers for lower prices. Oats. — The feature of this market during , the past month h'>s been the large supply of Victorian, which has been far in excess of i previous years. The present crop promises better than it did a month since, more favorable weather in the Ballarat and Kyneton districts having brought on the late season crops.
