In the 'concert which commenced about eight o'clock the following ladies and gentlemen took'paft :— llfs Hunter and Misses Macara, Messrs Gutv -McMillan, , Kidd, Walker, Smoothy, " Fihlay6on, M'Clufe "and Fisher. The last two named gentlemen, teachers of llokepta and, South Wyndham respectively, gave two readings each, and Mr Gurr gave a ' recitation. The other's enfer'tamed the audience with frODgs. ■- One arid all were well received and frequently applauded.. In- the absence of Mr McKay, iVyndhain, Mr Kelly officiated as chairiMS htJte opening ol tn« concert,;; Jbntlater SJr.M»Efay arrived, »nd was at'once located in the post of honor. The concert being ended refreshments were handed round .by .the-, tichool cemmittee, and immediately afterwards the jroom was cleared for dancing. As dancing is a favorite amusement,. noiiiing need be said of it but that it did not end • till, daylight, and even then after the . fiddles were encaicd two or, three * gientletneh' begged for one more dance oh purpose, I presume,Jto get their favorite partneri, &c, &c. A free table -was kept -all night, and on breaking up everyone said it was the best "entertainment they had ever had at South .Wyridham.
