Kilgour, grain and produce broker, reports under date September 20, as follows : Wheat. — There is n fair demand for local requirements, and prime samples of milling sell at from 4s 2d to 43 3d ; medium and inferior, 3s 9d to 4s ; fowl feed, 2s 6d to 3s Id, according to quality. # Oats.— The market is quiet, but there is no change in prices. I quote bright short feed at Is 9d to Is lOd ; inferior and disclored, Is 7d to Is 8d ; milling, Is lid to 2s; A few lots of seed samples have been disposed of at from 2s 3d to 2s 6d for clean samples. Barley. — The demand continues good for malting parcels, which are not very plentiful, and any such lots' are readily placed at from 4b 6 ( d to 4a 9d, and extra prime aa high as 5s ; milling is saleable at 3s 9d to 4a. Feed, not in demand. „-,'. Chaff.— Any good oaten sheaf ia saleable at £4 per ton, bags extra ; but inferior quality is very hard to 'quit. Grass Seed. —Only machine-dressed samples of ryegrass move off, and may be quoted at ,4s 6A per bushel. Farmers' lots do not take, but are nominally worth from 3s 9d to 4s. CocksfoQt ,is in active demand, and I have disposed |of all lots on hand at 3s per lb. Rabbitskins. — These continue in good demand, and winter skins properly sorted would fetch fr/>m lGd to 17d per lb. My sales during the week have been at lOd for a consignment of mixed summer and inferior ; suckers. 6d to Bd.
