Diarrhoen, Dysentery, &c, completely con' quered by MONK'S HERBAL EXTRACT (^Registered.} FRICE— 2s 6d and 4s per Bottle. The above 'Extract* is one of the most marvellou discoveries of the age. Its effects are instantaneous, and NEVER PAIL in chronic or acute cases, however severe. The great properties of this medicine consist in its never producing costiveness, no matter how freely used, and i' s being perfectly harmless and purely herbal ; yet curing Diarrhoea, Djaentcry, English Cholera, &o, with the greatest certainty. The ' Herbal Extract ' is the finest and most delicate tonic procurable for use in General Debility, Indigestion, Oonsumptioa, Decline &c. S ambers of invalids who cannot take quinine or steel, can take the 1 Extraot' with most favorable results. The ' Herbal Extract ' is a sure preservative of health, if taken regularly every morning, in hot, unhealthy or tropical climates, preventing the appeoach of any of the above mentioned diseases. Pirections for use— ln ordinary Diarrhoea, Dvseutery, &c, children half a teaspoonfal to a tablespoonful ; adults, two tablespoonfuls , inieivak of two hours two or tLree times I afterwards as required. O» weighing the result, a dark green extract, I found the weight to be 14i grs. On further submitting the extraot to armlysis I fouud ifc to be rich in tannin. In a large number of cases of ordinary diarrhcaa, as well as in many chronic cases and in ysentery, I have proved ifc to possess {.reat specific control, added to the unusual feature in a mnjority of diarrhoea mediciuts, that it doea not subsequently constipate the bowels. I feel satisfied that from the number of triuls I have been fnabled to make of it in a somewhat extensive practice, it is a most valuable addition to modern therapeutics. The following cases are taken at random from my no'e-bookr — Case No. 1 ; Mrs M , West Eyerton, suffering for two years from Chronic Dysentery, which had reduced her almost to a skeleton. After a fortnight's trial not only had the diarrhoea slopped, but ahe commenced eaticy meat without pain and the usuai cenoomitant vomiting. In two months she had. gained 18lb& weight. Case No 2. : A. G., child, aged 5 years, Fortnight diarrhoea. .. Was effectu • elly cured on the third day.
