He had tendered Mr i Tuson a c itjqne for tint amount but it had been refused by that gentleman. i MrTuson who was present said that upon former occasions he had received similar remuneration for like services. . Mr Mac Gibbon thought that a precedent had thus been established, and if the Board meant to pay a smaller sum they should have given Mr Tuson nobioe to that effect. The chairman said that if the Board felt inclined to Bustain Mr Tuson's claim they would find it necessary to give notice to rescind the former motion empowering the chairman to deal with the matter. : Mr Mac Gibbon thought it unfair to keep Mr Tuson out of his money for a month. The Board's solicitor was of opinion that tho matter could be dealt with at once. Moved by Mr McGill seconded by Mr MacGibbon That Mr Tuaon's account be paid in full, arid that in future the Board appoint its own Retarning Officer and fix its scale of fees. THE BOARD'S OVERDRAFT. The chairman presented a document from the Board's bankers requiring the signature of members as a guarantee for the overdraft. Mr Smaill said that he could nob understand such a document being neoesaary, The late manager had promised him, when chairman, an overdraft of £100 without security. Mr McGibbon was of opinion that such a document would not have been necessary if there had been no question of the legality of the present ohairman's position.
