THE DUNEDIN MARKETS.

Messrs Wright Stephenson and Co., report for the ! waekl ending 4th April, 1883, as follows :— i : ; i Faii Cattle.— A large number came to hand, 210 head he'lng yarded; mostly of medium quality. Pure Stock— On account of the New Zealand and Australian Land Company, Edendale, wo have. sold 23 two-tooth Leicester rams at £4 4s, and 27 old Lincoln rams at 229 6d eaoh. Horses.— We quote first-class draughts at from £30 to £35; medium, £20 to £25; light do, £15 to £18; good; hacks and light harness horses, at from £18 to £25 ; medium, £10 to £15 ; light and inferior, £3 to £7. ' ■ . . Grain.— Wheat : The market is in much the same state'as ire reported it to be last week. During the week' we have placed 23,000 bushels at quotations. We quote best milling samples, red straw and velvet, 4s 3d Tuscan, Id or 2d per bushel more ; medium, 4$ to 4s 2d ; fowls' wheat, 2a Gd to 3s.
