The, en' qine waß travelling at excessive speed and did not stop at the Gore ? platform, j bo that pedestrians in the habit of crossing the railway line or the bridge, and who were, of course, not aware that a train would be passing at that hour, had no reasonable intimation of its approach, and had to skedaddle from its path in a very undignified manner.
