TO THE EDITOR, i \ Sib,— lf Mr Martin will kindly call; on the Secretary of the Church Committee (|vho will be pleased to let him inspect the minutes) he will find that the date (7th of April) ' for holding the gift auction was named by the general committee and not by the sub-com-mittee, which met on the 30th of that month If all of Mr Martin's facts are of the same nature I leave it to the public to judge of ■ their authenticity,— *l am, &0., , , "T.
