Messrs Sharp and Pickering report that they received the following from their London Agent yesterday “ Your barley ex Alastor was sold on the sth October with the following results: — 220 quarters at 50/ per 44Slbs 100 do 49/ do 180 do 46/ do 50 do 45/ do. Our broker* consider that the quality of of the two best lots is the finest they have ever seen from New Zealand.” We may add that the first lot was grown by Mr J. 11. W. Cook, and the second was from Mr C. O’Dwyers, farm, Spring Creek
