Railway Department, Wellington, 11 tli October, 1881. npENDERS will be received until X noon of Tuesday, 22nd November, 1881, for the Supply and Delivery of Coal and Coke for the New Zealand Railways. They must be addressed to the General Manager of New Zea land Railways, Wellington, and marked outside “ Tender for Coal.” Specifications can be seen, and forms of tender obtained, at the offices of the Railway Managers at Auckland, Whangarei, Napier, Wellington, Wanganui, New Plymouth, Nelson, Pic con, Greymouth, Westport, Christchurch, Dunedin, and Invercargill. Telegraphic tenders will be received if presented at any Telegraphic Office by NOON of the same date, provided that written tenders in due form are lodged at a Railway Managers office by the same hour. The lowest of any tender will not necessarly be accepted. In reference to the above, the time for receiving tenders is EXTENDED until noon of Twenty-sixth instant. J. P. Telegraphic tenders, similarly addressed and marked, will be received, if presented, at any Telegraph office by noon of same date, provided that written tenders in due form are lodged at any District or Resident Engireer’s Office by same hour. Drawings, specifications, and general conditions may be seen, on and after Ist proximo, at this office, and also at the Public Works Offices, Wellington, Nelson, Blenheim, and Christchurch.
