A New York Humid special dated July 21st, has further fresh particulars of the plot to assassinate the Czar. It is telegraphed that Baronoff chief of the police had received an anonymous letter stating that the Empcrcr was to be assassinated on the 15th. The letter contained nothing more. Baronoff made enquiries in every direction and ascertained that a young student had committed suicide under extraordinary circumstances. The man ran himself through with a sword without injury to vital parts, fired a bullet in his left temple, then finding himself still alive fired again in his temple and in the g-vping wound made by the sword. This suicide awakened Baronoff’s suspicion he found the student in swoon. He was brought to, and then declared he was one of a band of 20 Nihilists who had all sworn to kill the Emperor. The lot had fallen upon him, hut his heart failed and he determined to kill himself. He lived till the 18th and before his death revealed to Baronoff all his brother Nihilists, who wore promptly secured by the police. A special from St. Petersburg says that another Nihilist was found imirdored in the cemetry with his throat cut from ear to ear. Deceased was in communication with the police, when his brother Nihilists discovered his treachery. They sent him a circular letter inviting him to dinner, and on returning at night they assassinated linn and carried his body to the cemctry. The invitation letter was found in the victim s pocket, and enabled the police to make important arrest. AMERICAN' SUMMARY. July 3).
